Mallards are very common in Missouri and can be found in most local lakes and ponds. The St. Louis area is a major flyway as these birds migrate along the Missippi River moving from Canada in the summer to winter in the southern United States and Mexico.

Dorris St. Louis
This is the 1904 “St. Louis” model of the Dorris automobile manufactured by the Saint Louis Motor Carriage Company. Interesting clouds circle the Nathan Frank Bandstand in Forest Park. This lake and bandstand sit in front of the Forest Park’s Municipal (Muni) Opera. Daylilies at The Cascades

Bandstand
The Nathan Frank Bandstand is one of the interesting in St. Louis’ Forest Park. The original bandstand on this site was built around the time Forest Park opened in 1876. Great Egret
Forest Park in St. Louis has an open air theater with a lake in front of it. I was walking to the lake when, coming around some shrubbery, I almost ran into this Egret. The Egret did not flinch.
