Mallards are very common in Missouri and can be found in most local lakes and ponds. The St. Louis area is a major flyway as these birds migrate along the Missippi River moving from Canada in the summer to winter in the southern United States and Mexico.

The Peregrine Falcon is considered the fastest animal on earth. When diving for its prey, it can reach speeds up to 240 mph. Peregrines are crow size, so not very large and live in urban areas where they can hunt pigeons.
