I always enjoy walking around St. Louis’ Forest Park. For those that are not from the area, it is the site of the St. Louis World’s Fair and many of the waterways and lagoons are still there. Mallard and Hen
Mallards are very common in Missouri and can be found in most local lakes and ponds. The St. Louis area is a major flyway as these birds migrate along the Missippi River moving from Canada in the summer to winter in the southern United States and Mexico.
Shaking it off
The ducks and geese in Forest Park were vey active recently. Walking by one of the streams I noticed the ducks were busy diving for dinner. These are few of the many water fowl in Forest Park. A good place to see these ducks is near the suspension bridge just east of the Grand Basin.
