This is a stunning window in Missouri’s State Capitol. Situated in the upper part of the rotunda, it allows a large amount of light into the great hall. Note the phrase “NOT TO BE SERVED BUT TO SERVE.” These phrases are all overthe rotunda pointing out the elements of good citizenship and a free society.Continue reading “Window”

Shaking it off

The ducks and geese in Forest Park were vey active recently. Walking by one of the streams I noticed the ducks were busy diving for dinner. Missouri River

View of the Missouri River from above bluffs. The Missouri River is the longest river in the United States. Rising in the Rocky Mountains of the Eastern Centennial Mountains of Southwestern Montana, the Missouri flows east and south for 2,341 miles before entering the Mississippi River north of St. Louis, Missouri.

Canyons

The Chicago River has endless opportunities for interesting photographs. You can scroll down and see a few taken from a higher level. Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill

Shaker Village is an historic area in Kentucky. The Pleasant Hill Shakers are recognized for their iconic architecture, skilled craftsmanship and profound spirituality.
