The New Kiener Plaza

The new Kiener Plaza used the same statue as the old plaza and everything else is new. This is a gathering place for sports rallies in St. Louis, particularly the Cardinals and Blues. St. Louis Union Station

Next week we will be celebrating the 4th of July. Early that morning they will clear the streets for St. Louis’ 137th Veiled Prophet Parade. Behind Union Station floats, marching bands and giant balloons are assembling for the massive annual event.

New Kiener Plaza

The new Kiener Plaza opens this space while giving the nice view of the Old Courthouse and Arch. It was pretty cold this day so there were not many people in the new area. St. Louis Downtown’s Kiener Plaza. The Plaza just had a complete remake leaving only the statue. This great view includes the plaza, the Old Courthouse and the Arch. Flying low in front of the St. Louis Arch

The St. Louis skyline makes a great photograph with the Arch, the buildings and the river. This is a photo I took recently from a heliocopter photography trip. This was the low pass. After this photo was taken we turned around for another pass at  a higher alititude.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to tour our riverfront by Helicopter. Since the purpose was to photograph the area, we flew “doors off” so we could hang out for good shots.
