The new Kiener Plaza used the same statue as the old plaza and everything else is new. This is a gathering place for sports rallies in St. Louis, particularly the Cardinals and Blues. New Kiener Plaza

The new Kiener Plaza opens this space while giving the nice view of the Old Courthouse and Arch. It was pretty cold this day so there were not many people in the new area. Here is another version of the previous post. This was a very rainy night that produced some great photos! This is a three shot HDR photo (ISO 100, f13) with an average exposure of 6 seconds. Processed in Photomatix and Lightroom.

This is Kiener Plaza in St. Louis. More significantly, the building in the background is the Old Courthouse, built between 1839 and 1862. The Courthouse is the site where an enslaved husband and wife, Dred and Harriet Scott, sued for their freedom, and Virginia Minor sued for a woman’s right to vote in 1872.
