From time to time nearby Scott Airforce Base hosts a fantastic air show showcasing aircraft from early bi-planes to the latest technology fughters. Here, the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor is an American single-seat, twin-engine, all-weather tactical stealth fighter aircraft developed for the United States Air Force.

On the air intake on the bottom of this F-16 you will see the number 6. The Air Force Thunderbirds fly in a “five man” formation and take off that way. MIG-17 at Scott AFB Air Show

Every few years the nearby Scott Air Force Base holds an open house and a nice air show with a wide variety of military aircraft. This MIG-17 was the most unique thing flying that day.
