C-Type Jag cockpit. I always liked these old instrument panels. This gives the driver speed, RPMs along with fuel gauge, oil pressure, battery charge and water temp. The European Auto Show was in St. Louis Last weekend. This is a good chance to see some classic sports cars from the 60’s & 70’s in addition to later models. Not only did these people bring their Porsche, they brought a tent (very smart during the sunny days). I enjoy seeing the old MGs,Continue reading “Porsche”

Porsche 911 Carrera
1986 Porsche 911 Carrera at St. Louis’ European car show. Lots of cool street and exotic cars at this event and it would actually take all day to see everything. Here is a link to more photos from this event: https://greatrivers.smugmug.com/Events/St-Louis-European-Car-Show-201/

007’s famed Aston Martin? No, this is a later model at the St. Louis European Auto Show. James Bond had an Aston Martin DB5 and this is a DB6. No machine guns in the headlights or side ramrod/grinder or ejection seat or bullet proof shield in this one. I did some research and found thatContinue reading “Aston Martin DB6”

This is a photo from their 2014 show, processed in Topaz Impression. See more photos: https://greatrivers.smugmug.com/Events/St-Louis-European-Car-Show-201/
Photography at events such as a car show can be a problem. You have interesting subjects but backgrounds and people milling around can make it difficult to get a good shot. Here I used software that turns a photo in a painting allowing you to make everything look interesting. What do you think?
The St. Louis European Car Show held last weekend had hundreds of old and new sports cars. Here is a Lagonda which is a forerunner to the Aston Martin.
