Lighthouse Steps

When visiting sea shores or the Great Lakes, be sure to locate local lighthouses. In most cases you can tour them and go up to the light. The view is worth the time.

Great Basin in Forest Park

Wainwright Tomb

St. Louis’ Bellefontaine Cemetery is a great place to explore our country’s history. End of the line

I visited one of the Midwest’s best Museums of Transportation in St. Louis. They have everything you want to see in Planes, Trains and Automobiles! For kids of all ages and photographers, this is a great place to visit.

Peabody Hotel

Dogs at Peabody Hotel. This was taken with my Nikon 35mm 1.8 lens. This lens allows you to take great photos in low light.

Door of Return

Sculpture by Kan Ya Suda “Door of Return.” This is located in City Garden in Downtown St. Louis. City garden is an interesting place to visit with lots of photo opportunities.

Adolphus Busch Mausoleum

Adolphus Busch (1839-1913) mausoleum in Bellefontaine Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. This is the final resting place of the founder of Anheuser-Busch brewery. Above the entry to the mausoleum are the words: “Veni, vidi, vici” (I Came, I Saw, I Conquered). Bellefontaine is a very interesting place to visite and offers many photographic opportunities.

Calvary

I had to go out to one of St. Louis’ big cemeteries today so I thought I would post this photo of Calvary in North St. Louis. Neighboring Calvary and Bellefontaine cemeteries offer a vast amount of history from the midwest in addition to great photo opportunities. I recommend a visit.
