Sochii is out with his pack combing through brush and undergrowth trying to pickup the scent of a rabbit. He usually hunts with a dozen other Basset Hounds and is part of a pack that belongs to Three Creek Bassets, a professional group of hounds that competes nationally. Over the weekend I was honored to care for two lost Basset Hounds. This hound and his sister were found wandering around a nearby neighborhood. I am affiliated with a Basset Rescue group in the Midwest so I took them for a few days until they could be transferred to the rescue group. These hounds […]

Pedestrian Crossing sign at Big Cedar Lodge near Branson, MO. This place is full of all sorts of fun things like this. Driving on the property is an experience itself with these signs, shallow water crossings, waterfalls, gardens and more! If you visit, be sure to take your camera!

My wife and I will spend a number of fall and winter Sundays watching them perform at various locations around St. Louis and St. […]
This is a photo I took about four years ago in St. Louis’ City Garden, a sculpture park in the downtown area. The critics are my two Basset Hounds, Lolly and Clementine. This park is full of interesting things to photograph. I will be returning later this week, watch here for the results.
Dogs at Peabody Hotel. This was taken with my Nikon 35mm 1.8 lens. This lens allows you to take great photos in low light.
