Basset on my chair

Over the weekend I was honored to care for two lost Basset Hounds. This hound and his sister were found wandering around a nearby neighborhood. I am affiliated with a Basset Rescue group in the Midwest so I took them for a few days until they could be transferred to the rescue group. These hounds […]

Watching Dogs

It looks like this could be a scene in the Overlook Hotel in The Shining. However, this is a better known hotel in Memphis. This is the lobby of the famous Peabody Hotel. On the right is Elvis’ tailor and on the left is where the famous ducks swim in the fountain. This hallway is […]

Crossing

Pedestrian Crossing sign at Big Cedar Lodge near Branson, MO. This place is full of all sorts of fun things like this. Driving on the property is an experience itself with these signs, shallow water crossings, waterfalls, gardens and more! If you visit, be sure to take your camera!

Bassets on the run

This is one of my favorite recent photos taken while observing these Basset Hounds showing off their tracking skills. When processing the pictures from that day I did not remember any bassets being chased by horses. What was happening was that, while cutting through this pasture, the Bassets were running to join another group of […]

Three Creek Bassets

As a Basset Hound enthusiast I like to spend time with people that share my interest. This group of hounds are bred for tracking and compete nationally, showing off their skills. My wife and I will spend a number of fall and winter Sundays watching them perform at various locations around St. Louis and St. […]

The Critics

This is a photo I took about four years ago in St. Louis’ City Garden, a sculpture park in the downtown area. The critics are my two Basset Hounds, Lolly and Clementine. This park is full of interesting things to photograph. I will be returning later this week, watch here for the results.

Peabody Hotel

Dogs at Peabody Hotel. This was taken with my Nikon 35mm 1.8 lens. This lens allows you to take great photos in low light.
