Sunrises and sunsets in the Northwoods are usually spectacular because of the angle of the sun. At higher latitudes, the sun rises and sets at more of an angle causing the rises and sets to last longer. The many lakes Up North add to this beauty.

The Beacons Boathouse
This massive boathouse on Lake Minocqua belongs to The Beacons resort. The boathouse was built in 1908 and can be seen from the town of Minocqua and the Bearskin trail. This lake is filled with the classic structures with this as the “crown jewel.”
