Cold Morning in the Park

Lots of snow and ice in St. Louis over the past few days and more coming. While it makes lift difficult here, it makes for a beautiful landscape and slows life down a little bit.

Nathan Frank Bandstand

One historic structure in St. Louis’ Forest Park is the Nathan Frank Bandstand. The original bandstand on this site was built around the time Forest Park opened in 1876. I spent some time in Forest Park this weekend taking photos. If you are walking around with a camera there are unlimited opportunities for interesting photos. This is the park’s Muny Opera and pagoda, a beautifully designed area. In this photo, the sun has set and the lights have just come on.
