I spent some time in Forest Park this weekend taking photos. If you are walking around with a camera there are unlimited opportunities for interesting photos. This is the park’s Muny Opera and pagoda, a beautifully designed area. In this photo, the sun has set and the lights have just come on.
Early morning is Forest Park. Be sure to check out more Forest Park photos on this blog including some of the fall color photos. Millions of dollars and, more importantly, true dedication to this park in St. Louis has turned this area into the crown jewel of the City of St. Louis. There are unending opportunities for photographer including the beautiful vistas, the architecture and the zoo.
Here we have the sunrise over the Muny Opera pagoda. A high aperture is used to get the starburst effect.
An early walk in St. Louis’ Forest Park can be rewarding. This is the Nathan Frank Band Stand in front of what is known as the Muny Opera, an open air theater. This is a favorite area because there is so much to see within a few hundred feet.
This photo was taken just at sunrise. This is a five shot HDR processed in Photomatix, Lightroom and Photoshop. For more information see my tutorial on HDR: https://greatriversimaging.com/hdr/
