https://greatrivers.smugmug.com/Galleries/Portfolio/i-CGNtmRb/A Cityscapes provide a nice view of metropolitan areas. For Kansas City, a great place to photograph the city is from their World War I memorial. Built on a high hill, your get a spectacular view of their Union Station with their downtown in the background. Reflecting pool
The St. Louis Arch grounds have been totally redesigned with an expansion of the underground museum and some enhanced vistas. This is one of two reflecting pools which seem to be as they were in the past. The Arch and its grounds are interesting subjects for photographers of all skills. https://greatrivers.smugmug.com/Galleries/Portfolio/i-kCt4435/A
Fall in the Park
One of the more spectacular areas in Forest Park is the Grand Basin with it’s 8 fountains and the Art Museum towering above. However, I like this quite area just to the east of the Basin. New Kiener Plaza
St. Louis Downtown’s Kiener Plaza. The Plaza just had a complete remake leaving only the statue. This great view includes the plaza, the Old Courthouse and the Arch. A wide lens allows you to get up close to the fountain while including the buildings and arch. Also this photo was taken well after sunset givingContinue reading “New Kiener Plaza”
World’s Fair Pavilion

However, as you walk around the edges of the lake, you can catch a glimpse of the World’s Fair Pavilion in the distance. This photo is a three shot HDR photoContinue reading “World’s Fair Pavilion”

Included in this photo is downtown St. Louis, the Gateway Arch, Eads’ Bridge, the Stan Musial Bridge and the Mississippi River. On the horizonContinue reading “St. Louis”
St. Louis Arch
Photo of the famous St. Louis Arch taken on sunset photo walk. Watch this site for more from our Riverfront.
Old Courthouse
My hometown, St. Louis, with our old courthouse and the Gateway Arch behind it. The pathway here is part of the new Kiener Plaza (not sure what was wrong with the old Kiener Plaza). Lots to do and photograph in this area but be sure to get the Arch in the background! This photo wasContinue reading “Old Courthouse”
