This is the Henry Shaw home on the grounds of the Missouri Botanical Gardens. Every Christmas they transform the park into a “winter wonderland.” Visitors can follow a path through grounds and see one amazing display after another. https://greatrivers.smugmug.com/Galleries/Missouri-Botanical-Garden/i-rQftKqg/A

Pagoda
I spent some time in Forest Park this weekend taking photos. If you are walking around with a camera there are unlimited opportunities for interesting photos. This is the park’s Muny Opera and pagoda, a beautifully designed area. In this photo, the sun has set and the lights have just come on.
St. Louis Skyline
Here is one more photo of the Arch and the St. Louis skyline showing a spectacular view towards Clayton and St. Louis County.
Storm on Lake Minoqua
The Thirsty Whale is a unique place in Wisconsin’s Northwoods for dining or enjoying drinks on Lake Minocqua. This historic old boathouse on the lake is a great place to have lunch on the deck and watch people come an go in their boats. Also a good place to watch the famous Min-Aqua Bat skiContinue reading “Storm on Lake Minoqua”
Downtown St. Louis
Downtown St. Louis in the heart of the Midwest. Here you see our Arch, Busch Stadium (home of the St. Louis Cardinals), the Mississippi River, Eads Bridge and more. A helicopter was the source of this photo. I prepared for several days for a 20 minute ride by watching videos, checking my camera and talkingContinue reading “Downtown St. Louis”
St. Louis
Yesterday I had the opportunity to tour our riverfront by Helicopter. Since the purpose was to photograph the area, we flew “doors off” so we could hang out for good shots. Included in this photo is downtown St. Louis, the Gateway Arch, Eads’ Bridge, the Stan Musial Bridge and the Mississippi River. On the horizonContinue reading “St. Louis”
St. Louis Arch
Photo of the famous St. Louis Arch taken on sunset photo walk. Watch this site for more from our Riverfront.
Old Courthouse
My hometown, St. Louis, with our old courthouse and the Gateway Arch behind it. The pathway here is part of the new Kiener Plaza (not sure what was wrong with the old Kiener Plaza). Lots to do and photograph in this area but be sure to get the Arch in the background! This photo wasContinue reading “Old Courthouse”
Drunken Fish
While walking around the Central West End in St. Louis, this looked like a pretty good subject for a photo. The Central West End has lots of interesting restaurants, stores and people. As noted in the previous photo, we had lunch at Llywelyn’s with my wife and our Basset Hounds and then walked for aContinue reading “Drunken Fish”
Llywelyn’s
On Memorial Day I took my wife and Basset Hounds to lunch in St. Louis’ Central West End. This is an eclectic area with lots of interesting restaurants, shops and people. Llywelyn’s is an old restaurant in the area with good food. While we had lunch, the dogs did a little people watching!
