Missouri Botanical Garden’s Lantern Festival is hosting acres of illuminated displays. Here is one from a special evening only for photographers. Photography at events such as a car show can be a problem. You have interesting subjects but backgrounds and people milling around can make it difficult to get a good shot. Here I used software that turns a photo in a painting allowing you to make everything look interesting. What do you think?

The St. Louis European Car Show held last weekend had hundreds of old and new sports cars. Here is a Lagonda which is a forerunner to the Aston Martin.

Sunrise

An early morning near St. Genevieve, Missouri. A sunrise or sunset can produce a wide variety of light from very bright to very dark. HDR photography can help record all levels of light and produce beautiful photos. This is a combination of three photos taken at different exposures and processed in Lightroom and Photomatix.
