Crossing

Big Cedar Lodge

Pedestrian Crossing sign at Big Cedar Lodge near Branson, MO. This place is full of all sorts of fun things like this. Driving on the property is an experience itself with these signs, shallow water crossings, waterfalls, gardens and more! If you visit, be sure to take your camera!

Waterfalls

Big Cedar Lodge

This is one of the many waterfalls at Big Cedar Lodge and Dogwood Canyon. It seems that nothing can be built in these two areas without adding a waterfall. There are so many streams that run this resort that many just flow across the road.

I will be visiting Dogwood canyon this weekend so watch for more photos. In the meantime click here for more photos: Big Cedar Lodge and Dogwood Canyon.

Peaceful Stream

Dogwood Canyon

This peaceful scene is from Dogwood Canyon, a beautiful area in Southwestern Missouri. A walk through this area is complete with streams, waterfalls and scenic structures. It is worth the visit.

Be sure to check back next week for some new photos from this crazy place.

Structure in Dogwood Canyon

Dogwood Canyon

The people who own Big Cedar Lodge have an overly scenic valley down the road from their resort near Branson. This place is loaded with waterfalls, scenic bridges, overlooks and even new mill that looks like an old one. This is a little stream running under some steps in the valley.

Next week I will be visiting again for some springtime photos. Be sure to look for lots of new photos.

View from Devil’s Pool

Big Cedar Lodge

This is a view from the deck of Devil’s Pool restaurant at Big Cedar Lodge. Big Cedar is such an interesting place that you could not run out of things to photograph. It is an old estate with beautiful buildings and interesting architecture, restaurants, golf courses and more!

Table Rock Lake

Big Cedar Lodge

One of Missouri’s most spectacular resorts is Big Cedar Lodge. This is an old 1920’s estate converted to a resort by the owner of Bass Pro Shop. The creativity of the owners is something to see. Here is a photo overlooking the Registration building towards Table Rock Lake. This early morning photo gives great lighting and the mist on the lake.

cedar Valley Farms

Basseting in Grubville, MO with 6 Couples (12 Basset Hounds). A local family loaned us their farm for the afternoon allowing us to hunt through the open fields, creeks and woods. The hounds spent two and a half hours in the fields before returning to the farmhouse for an early dinner before driving back to St. Louis.

Showing Off

How did I get this elephant to pose? It was easy, it was feeding time and one of the keepers, off to the side, motioned for the Elephant to pose for the food. Good timing.

This is at the St. Louis Zoo, one of Americas, top zoos in an area called Rivers Edge.

You do not need to go on an expensive safari to get great animal photos. These facilities work very hard to provide a natural environment for their animals making for a nice setting.

North Bay, Door County

Door County Winter 2019

Beautiful scenes like this have been created heavy snows in North Central United States. It takes heartier souls to get up to these areas to capture the beautiful scenery. -Photo by Mary Beth Engler
