Life Saving Station
This is a Duluth-type life saving station that began operations April 1, 1896, serving the Portes des Morts Passage (more commonly called “Death’s Door”) at the entrance to Green Bay. Sunset on Green Bay creates perfectly cylindrical lens flare. The weather in Door County has been particularly rainy making photography a little hit or miss. Here the sun suddenly peaked out of the clouds to give a stunning sunset.
Under way….
While heading out for some sightseeing with a friend, I notice this beautiful yacht go by. I suggested we go out into some very rough water to photograph the sailboat and the friend agreed.
