Missouri’s St. Genevieve, situated in the rolling hills of the Ozarks, is an old historic town surrounded by scenic countryside. Here is an old barn restored by a local winery.
iPhone 6s Camera Review
I just recently upgraded my iPhone to an iPhone 6s and thought I would post a few pictures taken with its camera. Overall these are great photos. Below you will find a few shots taken from a walk around the neighborhood and then processed in Lightroom.
The camera is basically a “point and shoot” type. You can zoom from the screen and select screen size: square or panorama. Neat additional features are video, slow-motion, time lapse and geo-tagging. Also the camera has exposure control and image stabilization. On the downside, there are no lens selections and exposure control is limited. Also, the only file format is jpg, no RAW mode. Internal HDR is also a feature. Above is a hibiscus flower from my backyard. Note the detail and great color.

New Harmony
A favorite place to visit in the Midwest is New Harmony, Indiana. One fall visit was rewarded with these fantastic colors. New Harmony is one of those communities wedged in the past and present. Main features include 19th Century, early 20th Century and modernistic architecture. People drive for hours just to have lunch at their Red Geranium restaurant.

Old Town
Daisies
During our recent visit to Michigan, we stayed in a little community called Wequetonsing. Most of the homes there faced Lake Michigan so I would get up early to walk along the road between the homes and the lakes. This is an amazing place with well maintained homes (cottages) and beautiful landscaping. This is stylized photo of some of the homes.
St. Louis Courthouse
Last week I took the opportunity to visit St. Louis’ downtown area at dusk. Usually I am there for a sporting event or some other occasion and do not have the opportunity to take photos like this or the one before it. Since it is after sundown (dark), it takes time to scout a location, setup a tripod and then take the photo. A shot like this can take two or three minutes to capture.
