University City’s Loop Trolley. This is an antique streetcar recently installed in the the University City “Loop” area and terminates in Forest Park by the Missouri History Museum (in the background). This project was very expensive for the St. Louis area and it remains to be seen if it will payoff. The photo was processedContinue reading “Loop Trolley 002”

Echinacea
Coneflowers at Forest Park’s Jewel Box. This is an area around the Jewel Box’s reflecting pools and one of Forest Park’s very scenic areas. I wanted to say something about this flower for this post but had little idea what it was. With the magic of Google, I looked up “daisy with big center” andContinue reading “Echinacea”
Lilies
Forest Park’s Jewel Box green house has three reflection pools which are filled with various types of lilies like these. The whole area was buzzing with Dragonflies so capturing on in a photo like this was not very difficult. I have been visiting this landmark for 65 years and in never ceases to be interesting.Continue reading “Lilies”
Fall in the Park

This is one of two waterways that allow you to take a paddle boat to the Grand Basin andContinue reading “Fall in the Park”
Eagle Bluff Light
A trip to Door County required a visit to a new lighthouse. Eagle Bluff Light is on the the Green Bay side of Door County. These place can be difficult to photograph because of all of the visitors and tours. A little patience will pay off. https://greatrivers.smugmug.com/Galleries/Door-County/i-jVfs8q3/A

On this walk we socialized with ten or twenty other dogs on the trail and saw a few deer. This is a three shot HDR photo processed in Lightroom, PhotomatixContinue reading “A walk in Queeny Park”
Post-Dispatch Lake
A walk around Forest Park’s Post-Dispatch Lake gives this particular view. From this perspective, you would not know that you are in the center of St. Louis’ metropolitan area, surrounded by homes, apartments, hospitals and commercial areas. You would expect to find a Duck Blind nearby.
Summer Flowers
While St. Louis’ Forest Park is hosting Fair St. Louis, here is a spot away from the activity. http://greatrivers.smugmug.com/Galleries/Portfolio/i-6Vgf7Nm/A
Daffodils in early Spring
More Springtime Daffodils. This time from St. Louis’ Forest Park. As I have stated before, this is one of America’s largest and most beautiful urban parks. Be sure to click on the links to see more photos of the park if you have not been there before! Here is a scene of the Park’s suspensionContinue reading “Daffodils in early Spring”
