I just returned from a three day retreat on the Mississippi. I go every other year so I posted a couple of photos before this one from previous visits. This is the first post from this year showing a fabulous sunrise over the river.

North Bay, Door County
A shallow area on Lake Michigan allows these reeds to grow around this dock, giving a nice effect for this early morning shot.This is one of the many scenic areas in Door County, Wisconsin. Rural America
Early morning in Iowa. Point your camera just about anywhere in the Midwest and you will find an interesting composition. This was taken about ten minutes before sunrise and is a 3 shot HDR photo: 32mm, ISO 400, f6.3 with an average exposure of ¼ sec.
Sailboats
To get good photos you have to get up early to get nice light and color. Here I was up early walking along the lake and was able to catch the early sunlight breaking through the clouds and reflecting off the sailboats.
